The way operations have continued for over 100 days is a testimony to precise planning, continuous monitoring, and exemplary hard work and dedication towards work and the associated livelihood. Video conferencing has helped. The water cooler talks have been replaced with virtual settings. There have been numerous talk sessions and video conferences for the last three months. The calls have been both formal settings to discuss work and informal off work conversations. This has been a great way of conversing with people and knowing how they are doing in these heightened state of anxiety due to pandemic & offering help and support and solace in any way possible. Sarmang Dehradun Marathon

As the HR representative, I am absolutely thrilled to share that the Smartians from the Dehradun branch proudly participated in the Sarmang Dehradun Marathon!

Our team, consisting of 10 enthusiastic participants, embraced the challenge of various distances, including 42 km, 25 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km. Each runner exhibited remarkable determination and resilience, turning what could have been a daunting task into a celebration of teamwork and personal achievement.

The energy on race day was electric! From the early morning warm-ups to the exhilarating finish line moments, the camaraderie among participants was palpable. Colleagues cheered each other on, shared tips, and celebrated individual milestones—whether it was completing their first 2 km run or crossing the finish line of the full marathon.

This event was an opportunity for us to reinforce our commitment to health and wellness while fostering a strong sense of community. Engaging in physical challenges together helps build trust and collaboration within our team, and it’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of supporting one another both in and out of the workplace.

In the early hours of November 14, 2024, a sense of anticipation filled the air. Sixteen smarTians from Nagpur, Dehradun, and Mohali stood united, ready to leave the comforts of routine behind. Their destination? The sacred Kedarnath, with its rugged paths and towering peaks, followed by the legendary journey to Badrinath. But little did they know, this wasn’t just a trek—it was a masterclass in leadership, resilience, and self-discovery.

The adventure began with a road trip across the mystical terrain of Uttarakhand. The winding roads seemed to hold secrets of their own, as lush valleys gave way to towering cliffs and icy streams. The group, brimming with enthusiasm, exchanged stories and laughter, their spirits building bridges between regions and roles. Yet, with every turn, a question loomed—what challenges would the mountains present?

As they reached Kedarnath, the real test began. The trail was steep, the air thin, and the terrain unforgiving. Leadership emerged in unexpected ways—some led by example, encouraging others to push forward; others offered helping hands, sharing warmth and strength. Each step demanded focus, each breath felt earned, and every break became a moment to reflect on the beauty surrounding them.

The suspense of the unknown added a pulse to the journey. Would the weather hold? Could they all make it to the top? The group navigated obstacles with determination, finding solutions as a team, and leaning on their shared belief that no mountain—literal or metaphorical—is insurmountable with the right mindset.

Recent Visits to Japan, SDJ

In October 2024, I had the privilege of visiting Tokyo, Japan, on an eight-week business trip that concluded on December 15, 2024. This experience was both enriching and eye-opening, offering valuable insights into Japanese culture, which differs significantly from that of Western countries, such as the United States.

The trip provided an excellent opportunity to immerse myself in the nuances of Japanese business culture, including corporate etiquette, professional attire, and communication styles.

The primary objective of my visit was to streamline and align operational processes between our offices in India and Japan. In addition to achieving this goal, I also had the chance to engage with a few prospective clients. These interactions were particularly insightful, as they deepened my understanding of the Japanese approach to business, especially their emphasis on meticulous documentation and thorough preparation.

A standout moment of the trip was attending a conference focused on Artificial Intelligence. The event highlighted collaborative initiatives undertaken by the Indian and Japanese governments in advancing AI technologies. It emphasized how the strengths of both nations could be leveraged to drive digital transformation across various sectors through AI innovations.
