Empowering Women’s Health: Cancer Awareness Session
Cancer is one of the most common health challenges women face today. But with regular screening and early action, many cases can be prevented or treated in time.
On 18 March 2025, the Mohali team attended a special session on Cancer Screening and Prevention in Women. The session was led by Dr Lavleen Sodhi, a leading gynaecologist and obstetrician. It took place at the smartData Convention Hall.
Dr Sodhi spoke about the importance of early detection. She explained the signs, symptoms and risk factors of common cancers like breast, cervical and ovarian. She also highlighted how lifestyle choices – including diet, exercise and stress – can affect overall health.
The session gave simple, practical advice on how to stay aware and take charge of your well-being. It wasn’t just a lecture. People asked questions, shared their thoughts and learned directly from a trusted expert.
Dr Sodhi is the Director of Dr Sodhi’s Health Care & IVF Centre in Mohali. She has over a decade of experience in women’s health and fertility care. Her work has earned her national awards, including the Amar Ujala ‘Pride of Tricity’. She’s also featured in the Limca Book of Records for her efforts in health awareness.
Since 2007, her IVF programme has helped bring over 1,000 babies into the world. Her success rates match global medical standards.
This session was part of our #CFG – Community Fitness Green programme. We’re focused on health, inside and outside the workplace. Supporting women’s health is an important part of that mission.
Events like this help people feel informed, supported and empowered. When we make space for these conversations, we create a stronger, healthier team.
